Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) Information
All registered tax agents and BAS agents are required to comply with the Tax Agent Services Act 2009. As part of these obligations, Your Profit Your Way is required to make current and prospective clients aware of the following information.
About the Tax Practitioners Board
The Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) is responsible for the registration and regulation of tax practitioners in Australia. Its role is to ensure practitioners meet appropriate standards of professional and ethical conduct, providing confidence and protection for clients.
TPB Public Register
The TPB maintains a public register of all registered tax and BAS agents. This includes details of registration status and any relevant conditions or sanctions.

Client Identity Verification
As a registered tax practitioner, Your Profit Your Way is required to verify the identity of clients prior to providing tax or BAS services.
Identity verification helps reduce the risk of fraud and unauthorised activity and applies to:
- All new clients
- Any new authorised representatives acting on behalf of a client
This process may include confirming the identity of the client, the identity of individuals authorised to act on their behalf, and their authority to provide instructions.
Complaints and Dispute Resolution

Code of Professional Conduct
As a registered tax practitioner, we are bound by the Code of Professional Conduct under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009.
This includes obligations to:
- Act lawfully and in the best interests of our clients
- Act honestly and with integrity
- Manage conflicts of interest appropriately
- Take reasonable care to ensure compliance with taxation laws
- Provide services in a competent and timely manner

Client Responsibilities
Clients also have obligations under taxation laws. These include:
- Providing accurate and complete information
- Maintaining required records
- Providing information in a timely manner
- Advising of any changes that may impact services provided
- Being cooperative with reasonable requests
Prescribed Events
Registered tax practitioners are required to disclose if certain events have occurred within the last five years.
Your Profit Your Way confirms that none of the prescribed events, as defined by the Tax Agent Services Act 2009, have occurred during the relevant period.
Registration Conditions
Your Profit Your Way confirms that there are no conditions currently imposed on our registration by the Tax Practitioners Board.
